temper on to you. Growling really does not do any good, but it seems to relieve one.

The other night our night orderly caused a great commotion in the ward. I was awake about 2 am most of the other patients were asleep. The orderly had dozed off to sleep in his chair when suddenly he gave a couple of violent groans & then a yell. I thought he must have taken a fit. The yell must have wakened him up, as it did all the patients for he jumped clean out of the chair upsetting it. It was nothing more serious than a night mare.

There is so little to talk about in a ward that the "night orderly's night mare" was the topic of conversation
