Last Thursday Eric and I went to Stratford on Avon. Miss Cust (niece of Misses Jervois) met us at the Station. After a hurried look around the town we got a motor and went to Warwick to see over the Castle there. It is a wonderful old place, and contains a most valuable and varied collection of armour, tapestries, furniture, pictures etc. The man who showed us round seemed to love the place, and had a little history of every article. It was most interesting and the time went all too quickly. The present Earl is in residence there but as he is so
