In all the tombs part of the sculptures are devoted to representing the priest or king seated at his table, heaped with all manner of foods. In hieroglyphics close by is the menu including lists of fine linens perfumes and ointments. The Ka lived on these. The more offerings depicted on the walls, the better fed and clothed would the Ka be.

Perhaps the oldest artist's signature in the world is to be seen in this tomb. A little figure in a boat drinks from a jar, and above him is the inscription "Ptah en antah,
