does not make any difference your knowing. Of the future, I am not allowed to speak. I won't be sorry when we do get a change. I am getting anxious to see new pastures.

This week I am as though caged up being Orderly Corporal for the whole week. That means that I can't even go outside the Battalion lines. It also means being first up and last to bed. As reveille is at 4 a.m. or 5 a.m.  of late and lights out is not till 10 pm it means missing a lot of sleep at times. I like the idea of early rising here because then we don't have to parade during the hot hours of the day.

We had some great fun here on Saturday afternoon. "A" Coy organised some sports which were held on the parade ground in front of the battalion. The entries were confined to members of "A" Coy. but anyone could come & look on. The programme was a full one, and was so well got up that we are having a lot printed. These will be sold for  ½ P.T. and the proceeds to go to the Mess account. As it is our mess account was swelled from the afternoon's entertainment. One of the Sergeants was got up as Ikey Moe, and bet on every event. He then turned the proceeds over.
