The Col's son also came along. He is aged 6. He had the time of his life. In fact we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. We sat down at 1 pm & did not get up from the table until 3.20 p.m. Of course we wern't eating all the time. We procured a huge turkey from Salisbury. When the waiter brought him in, sausages were festooned about the body. Loud roars of laughter from the youngster.

On Xmas morning the ground was covered with snow. Quite an old fashioned Xmas. Unfortunately it did not last very long.

What a feeling of unrest there seems to be in Australia. It is rotten to think that people out there could act in such a way. To read some of the papers one would think that Aust. was fighting for Germany.
