The other man was Sgt Button. I don't remember if I ever mentioned how he got wounded. I had just got my first crack on the head, & Button was bending over me, bandaging me up when he got two bullets in quick succession into his shoulder. They were nasty wounds & his right arm will never be of much use to him. When he got them I had to turn round & bandage him up & send him out to the dressing station. He left yesterday for Weymouth, where he is to catch a boat for Australia.
What a wonderful wedding Nell must have had. It would be right into her hands. Are they going to live up there permanently?
Last week there was a lot of talk about shifting this camp to Park House - about three miles south of Tidworth. The Col. Adj. S.M.O. (senior medical officer) & I went across to have a look at the place, but reported unfavourably. Now it has been decided that we stay here, & absorb the three other camps on Perham Down. The capacity of the whole camp will then be four
