18. Perhaps I should say before I cease
The star of the day was Major Rees
He took Ralph on to the aerodrome
And introduced a man from home.

19. I believe Macnamara was his name
As Irish as "Moore" is! they're all the same
An Anzac's a chip of the real old block
Sprung from a good old fighting stock.

20. We'd hoped to see "Vickers Flying Scout"
But found the S.C. wasn't taking his out
He has got his squadron all complete
With "Havilands" & "Vickers" fleet.

21. But we had to tear ourselves away
As 'twas almost the close of that cheery day
We went to The George Inn to have some food
As any sensible mortal would.

22. A punctured tire on the way to the train
Almost made our ride to Salisbury in vain
So ended a very happy day
In Ye merrie, merrie month of May.
