Mail tomorrow." This paper is printed in the evening before delivery, so when he receives his bundle, they are papers for tomorrow's issue. But he forgets to drop the "tomorrow" when crying his wares.
The means of locomotion are very varied. Nothing struck me as more incongruous than to see a modern taxicab threading its way along the street side by side with a disdainful looking old camel. Donkeys too are plentiful. Donkey boys after the troops leave here should have wonderful staying powers. For whenever a soldier hires a donkey it means the boy has to run all the way even if the hirer is coming home from Cairo to Mena Camp.
Every horse is an arab - & some of them are beauties: One of these small built little arabs will pull a load that would put one of our medium sized draught to shame.
