swoon. It was fortunate for he we were able to take the revolver which was of the latest hammerless type of cartridge without any trouble. It seems to be these kind of men who always hit the mark, though they take no aim. So we were lucky. We bathed his head with cold water, & in about five minutes he came to. Then with an unholy spring he was up & off again. He took us by surprise & got a good start on us. However we gave chase & caught him just as he was attempting to climb over the back wall. Then the trouble commenced. Mad men seem to have wonderful  strength but fortunately, Mr Lloyd is a man who has not taken very much exercise for years but as it was it took the three of us all our time to hold him. After a wrestling match of about ten minutes he again swooned & we carried him into the bedroom & rang up for a doctor. Before the doctor arrived we had several more scrambles with the old chap, & it was tough work I can tell you. He was quiet when the Dr. arrived, but suddenly  €“ as he had done previously  €“ he jumped up & tried to climb up the wall. I don't ever remember seeing anything more pitiful that a big healthy looking man trying to climb up a vertical wall  (in his pyjamas). It was funny but as I said before most pitiful. The Dr made several injections in the arm & quietness reigned supreme. Our work was now finished & we were not altogether sorry.
