If the latter weren't intended as gun-emplacements, either for howitzers to bombard Sydney or for guns to guard the Heads I am willing to eat my old felt hat. I shall have to close now as the lantern is just preparing to go out.
I hope you don't think I am complaining too much. Perhaps Ill be having better luck and be in a more cheerful mood next letter.
