Napoleon's tomb. This building was originally built by Louis XIV for wounded and infirm soldiers. It is still used as such, but the principal item of interest is Napoleon's tomb. It is immediately below the dome, and is in an open circular crypt, about twenty feet deep.

Several days I have been round Paris with Mr Vigrain  €“ a friend of Annie's. He speaks English well and he knows Paris like a book, so he was able to show me many places of interest I might have missed.

Annie and Miss Riviere gave a Xmas Tree party yesterday. About two dozen grown ups and children came along making a full house. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves immensely, which is the main thing. Hope you all had a real Happy Xmas. It must have been a bit quiet with two of us away. I sent some good wishes across on Saturday, and I know you did the same for me.

Love to all.
Your affec. Son,
Ralph.
P.S. Annie was saying she would like to see a Sydney "Bulletin" occasionally. Will you send her one now & again for me. Harry can pay for them out of my money.
