I was not in the march past, as I was standing near the saluting base - a good position. It could not have been better, as I was only a few yards away from the King.

We are trying to get some of the photos which appeared in the daily papers. If we have any success, we will send out a set. They ought to be worth keeping, for this last review is the largest review of colonial troops that has ever been held in England.

I told you in my last letter that I was unlucky enough to miss Basil in London. I have written to him c/- Weymouth, but so far have received no reply.

Yesterday I had a letter from Phil Jansen.
