The court opens & goes on with its work. Lots of funny things happened during this time, but I will skip a lot to come to Col. Abbott's entrance on the stage again.

During the discussion by the members as to what punishment should be meted out to the accused, Col. Abbott rose to give his opinion, & it so happened that it did not agree with that held by the Pres. The general jumped up interrupting Col Abbott, with his high pitched squeeky voice. "Sit down Sir! Sit down! What do you know about Military Law? You are only a piano-tuner!" Col. Abbott sat down without saying another word.

After the Court dissolved, the general & judge advocate went across to Maj. Mottram who is in
