My dear Mother,
Two letters have come from you during the week. I am so glad to hear that Frank is so happy, & I hope that I shall be the same.
Capt Croly the Adjutant returned here on Wed. night & I handed over on Thursday so now I should have more time.
On Friday I had to go to London on another Court Martial Case, so decided to finish the week end in town & only got back to camp tonight. It took me 6 ½ hrs to get to town on Friday. The previous night there was a very bad railway smash at Andover. Fortunately it was a goods train. The line was blocked & damaged for about 100 yds. I had to go right down to Southampton before going on to London, as it was the London line from here that was blocked.
I was able to see quite a lot of Jane during the week end. We have decided to get married on Tuesday week & I have asked for a week's leave so that we might can
