Dear Malcolm,
There is just time before first to tell you how pleased we were to hear through Auntie that you were better, we are very thankful truly hoping you may continue to improve, it will probably be slowly. You must try to be patient, as Auntie Giles [indecipherable] in your case especially it is better to be slow, & sure, be a good boy & dont try to run before you can walk. Do all that the Dr. & Nurse wishes & so you will help in your recovery. Auntie is very good she is anxious to have you with her back again she thinks she could make you happier, & we know how she must have to work in her home & without assistance. I wish we were nearer, we might give some help. All your friends here are very pleased to know you are a little better & all are hoping for better news still. Now my dear boy
