the chaps enjoy it fine, it's really tip top to move among them. Today, I arranged with the men to appoint a committee for social work, we intend to have a 'B' Co. evening in one of the halls in the city & it's going to go fine. I had a yarn with the committee tonight.

Whilst wandering around this afternoon, I heard that we had been allotted to the "Osterly", a mail boat, it leaves here on Jan. 27 & calls at Melb., Adelaide, Freemantle, Durban, Capetown. Our luck is right in & we feel quite pleased over it, its just the thing.

Dear old 'Mum" of Adelaide has gone & got engaged, so I'm going to write her a real good letter.
