Dear Malcolm,
Lizzie & I were very pleased & thankful when your letters arrived for some weeks previous I had thought of writing to Mr Joseph Shore to ask him if he knew anything about you but was afraid to ask, lest there might he bad news to tell.
"Oh ye of little faith" , might be written against so many of us. [indecipherable] great dark days, you have much to be thankful for. Hitherto you have been kept & we still can leave you in "His Hand" "who is ever faithful & ever sure."
You will be sorry to hear that Dorothy is no better, we had no idea she was so poorly, until we received your letters you see you do find a way [indecipherable] more than
