My dear Florrie,
Today there has been a great review by Haig, the engineers had pride of place, thousands of troops were on parade & I had an excellent view of the whole business, it is impressive to see massed troops with fixed bayonets, the ground was good having a slope which enabled me to see a good part of it, officers are right in front you know & the reviewing oft passed quite close, the day was dull, the lowering skies added to the scene.
