scene, the flame pictures of the setting sun take ones mind right away from the war, the silhouettes were delightful against flaming background & as I plodded thro the whitened grass my thoughts roamed to the "valley of silence" they were too refreshing for words.

Well I'm waiting for mess & hope there is something nice for dinner, we fare pretty well you know, anyway we get more than the folks in England our sugar & butter supplies are plentiful, flour only is a bit tight.
