My dear Florrie
I don't know what to yarn about & forgetting when I last wrote makes it more difficult. A thought comes to me, if by telling you my real experiences you get the "wind up" rest assured you won't get any more, its worth while knowing that we have to go thro them & that worrying over them doesn't reduce them one iota, they're jolly good fun & it would not be a bit like myself not to write of them again they must make my scripts more interesting to you, whats the good of coming to a war if you do not have some fun its all that makes it worth coming to. It never struck me till a couple of days ago that the stories of the stunts et.c would possibly make you worry & if they do "mine goodness" my letters are going to be dull & prosaic, always remember that I enjoy them, they are the things which keep a fellow going. I wouldn't thank anyone for a war with balls of wool for shrapnel
