Have had letters recently up to end October from home & all seem very well. Had a line from Anne Dunn. They had been staying a fortnight at Bridgewater & kids had great time. My folks were staying at Mt Lofty at the same time & one Sunday Renie (Scott), Freda, & Ida Brumwitt. Annie seemed to enjoy seeing them all & wrote me in a very cheery strain but they feel for old Cecil's death a good deal. I wrote Reg Dunn as I didn't know Jack's hospital but have had no reply.
Am getting on slowly in this Bird Cage Walk & am certainly better than when I came in here nine weeks ago to-day.
I'm not "marked up" for Blighty for the next fortnight at any rate so probably I will see the New Year here.
They opened up my leg a bit ten days back but the ether didn't worry me much & leg is fairly comfortable now.
Hope you are all serene.
Best of luck to you old man
Yours sincerely
Donald M Scott
