My dear Malcolm,
Just a line to thank you on our Aunties behalf & from myself for your prompt reply, in your illness too, for I know how weak you are feeling. We both know your Auntie had a severe attack some time ago which left her very poorly for a long time & she has never forgotten it.
We both wish to warn you not to be too venturesome & risk nothing & do not venture out to trenches [indecipherable] to soon. Thank dear Aunty M.E. for us for all her kindness to you as you say it was no little task she was adding to her already full hands, but I don't doubt she is fully satisfied to see you on the way to recovery. Give our love to all friends you may see. Glad you were able to see Canterbury C. before you succumbed - your illness may have kept you from something worse, be thankful all will be for the best. We wish you God speed.
