Have just been watching a scrap between aeroplanes, they brought down a fritz it came down about 1000 yards away our chaps seemed to set on it untill near the ground. Will go over tomorrow & look at it. One of ours fell on the flat about 2000 yds in rear. I watched it thro glasses, in about 3 minutes it was surrounded by hundreds our chaps, they seem to come out of the ground, marvellous how many men are tucked away apparently nowhere.
A gramaphone is grinding out its musical parody if I had a voice to be proud of, I wouldn't chuck it away into a gramaphone bis., they're awful contraptions & sufficient to drive you to drink.
The Cpl. who gave me a hand on May 7th has collapsed, case of nerves I think.
Am enclosing a few snaps sent to me by the Roberts of Adelaide, am afraid I would lose them if I kept them here, look after them for me.
With love to all
Yours affectionately
Malcolm
