My billet is the "Café au Commerce" situated at junction of Rue Cambetta & the railway, ah! ah! should I also add "Somewhere in France".

There is some talk of Blighty leave opening up again so I soon expect to be in England for a couple of weeks spell.  I don't think it advisable to do the rounds again & almost I am inclined to slip into London to get some decent togs & then to "imshi" to Cornwall just to be quiet.

Was yarning to some French girls yesterday - we stopped for breakfast at their house, they work in a factory here for 1.40 francs (14d) a day for 10 hours, the eldest girl earns 3 francs per day, they laughed when I told then that it hardly earned their salt.

With love to all

Yours affectionately

Malcolm
