in the trenches yesterday & enjoyed a good yarn.

The social must have been a great success its good to undertake work of this nature.

I am rather amused at my Mother's description of the room she describes & accounts for about 6 articles on the walls of the dining room & exclaims that they are crowded I cannot agree.

Re my books there are many which you would enjoy, it would be worth while looking thro them, some are very valuable & long since have gone out of print - they refer to early writings of missionarys in the Pacific. I always was a bit weak so far as this type of work is concerned anyway cruise thro them and keep them well supplied with camphor bags otherwise the worms will eat them away. There are some works splendidly illustrated of ancient mythology, have a look for them or rather I should say "a hunt", in my last digs in Australia I had a bookcase for them all.

It is always a source of gratification to me to know that the little red vase arrived safe & sound. I loved that little thing.
