My dear Mother Father & Sister
Just a few lines, I am wondering what has become of your letters & today it struck me that you might be addressing them incorrectly, do not forget to include Aust. Imp. Force, thus -
Lieut M.S. Stanley
10th Field Co. Engineers
A.I.F.
France.
There is little doing & a great deal of our time is spent making ourselves comfortable, the sector is quiet & in about 3 weeks we have only lost one man & that one by a chance shell, old Fritz gets annoyed occasionally & sends over "5 minutes late".
Today we had a church parade - the first for 4 or 5 weeks - in a ruined barn it is a source of gratification to me to note the number of men from my own section. I reckon my section is about the best & I have no desire for change, the chaps & myself hit it fine.
