men now. I should think that you were lucky to have such good quarters where you were away from the danger of shells, but I guess by the time you receive this you will have moved on. Was very pleased to know that you have received another Star. You'll be feeling six inches taller and ever so big I'm sure I would if it were only half a star.
Tomorrow a picnic party of us are going down to the Tauvin New Year's way you know. I'm thinking that the little fishes will hurry away when they hear us coming. I notice when just one buggy load of us go we get plenty of fish but never many when a crowd is about. Anyhow I think if you were here you'd enjoy the trip if it were only looking at the country we drive through. I think you went once when you were here, Father took you but he went in a different direction from what we go.
Since the war we don't have nearly so many outings will have to save them until the boys come home.
Father Mother and the boys wish to be remembered to you & we all wish you a safe return during the coming year.
Kind regards from all
Yours sincerely
Iris
