our issue bread is white & it is seldom that we are short, only two or 3 times in my 6 months here. Rum is on issue too but I do not remember but once tasting it, its rotten stuff. Socks are on issue too, go into the trenches & get your feet wet all you have to do is to call at the store at the road, you toss in your wet pair, they give you dry ones. I may toss in more when they have become too small for me. I'm chock a block with woollen things sometimes I wonder if it is possible for a chap to have more friends than myself, somebody is always wondering what they can do for me. I'm always giving stuff away to the chaps. My boxes in England are full too You talk about refooting socks - I can never manage to wear a hole in the handmade socks they will wear on me forever.
