My dear Florrie,
A Fritzie plane is overhead & they are stonkering it with antiaircraft guns, these latter arn't much bon, I've never seen them bring down a plane yet.
This morning I have been watching the sapper finish off the box for my Mother its simply bonser, the timber is of the best & in itself is a valuable souvenir. I only wish I could give you definitely its origin but you will understand. The copper plate I embossed yesterday with a light hammer & a few nails, did it myself & found the work very interesting. I guess Mother will be pleased with the whole outfit, so far it is kept secret but I will show it to the other officers before I send it away.
Am writing today to ask Uncle Joseph for £15 for my trip to Paris
