My dear Mother, Father & Sister,

I have little to write off, nothing has happened since last writing. We are gradually getting ready to get away today. Our men were making their "allotments", that is to say the amounts they are to draw whilst on active service - the usual amount being 2/- per day.

This week, we have one company concert - I am enclosing a typed copy of one song & also the music & ticket, just to keep for a souvenir.

Friday, I received a woollen waistcoat from Mary Hamilton - jolly good of them. I laughed when I found a packet of "Carpenter's Buttons".

Kindly accept my very best wishes for a real successful New Year,

Yours affectionately,

Malcolm
