anything that may be hopping around, what about the war loan the interest is better than the bank, or a piece of land, or better still I think the war loan is best - anyway put £100 into the War Loan Bonds to the best advantage.
Old Fritz has been very active lately, with his aeroplanes this morning one flew over very low & was very cheeky - got away too in spite of the guns, the other day I saw one of his come down one wing had been shot away. At the time I was searching for souvenirs for Florrie, later I had intended to see it but have not had the time.

Am writing from our back area billets, had a good ride over & enjoyed myself thoroughly, had a look at a cathedral but beyond enjoying the architecture there was nothing of note, my French is not yet good enough to appreciate all the notices I see. The bike ran all right but the roads - main ones usually - are of cobble stones, they shake up every bone in ones body. It's bonser to get away from the lines & to live quietly. Whilst waiting for the company at the station I met a N.Z. tommy, they were with us in the last stunt. He gave me a fake from the cap of one of the german prisoners which I enclose for Florrie, it is a great souvenir, one of the best & there is also a little German money & a note.
Just had a great time yarning
