This business as you say is a Nightmare! - madness! Yet I would never have been satisfied had I not been through it. I have seen enough to satisfy anyone - the thought of it all is painful - but now that I have tried to share with my mates the hardships & dangers of the campaign I have a little satisfaction. It narks me to think I have done so little though.
I think I am a certainty for Australia - I do wish you were going back too. Being so far away for a time helps a fellow to appreciate home in a new way. It is time to anticipate Australia instead of mud & explosions.
Have you heard anything of Caygill? I came across some chaps who knew him in the 7th F. Coy Eng.
