nicely worded.

The leaves (forgot to get them) are from our garden - a ruined convent.  Sometime I will give you the name of this town. I went down to the Cathedral a few days ago for a piece of timber - oak & from it I fashioned  a walking stick, it is a bonser, & much admired, I cut it from a banister, it is well seasoned being some hundreds of years old.  From another building I secured a piece of timber & made a rough ornament - treasure it, rough as it is, your possession of it will be envied by all, later you will know all about it.

There isn't much doing, nothing very exciting I mean, only I haven't any tobacco send it along regular "s'il vous plait".

With love to all

Yours affectionately

Malcolm

I'm smoking some horid stuff "kill me dead sort" mine goodness its frightful worse than "Bosch Gas".  Tomorrow I have a motor bike ride about 40 miles, to fix up billets for our company.  I do hope that the bike is in good trim & will carry me with little trouble, en route I intend to examine one or two ancient churches,   have wanted to see them for some time. It will be grand to get away for a time from the rumble of the guns, they are roaring as I write, old Fritz doesn't get much peace. I do hope that our stuff gets right home every time. Fritzie
