decent chaps here & I have had a pleasant time, of course we look on the trip to this part as a spell & it is too for remember we have had some hard toil since we went in. Little news percolates this respecting the work at the front & except for the presence of kharki, one, here could easily forget the war.

The little villages round here are very pretty, being well back they receive nothing from Fritz save bombs from planes.  We often hear planes overhead at night but whether they are ours or Fritzies we cannot say.

There is little to add save that I am keeping fit.
