My dear Mother Father & Sister
Have just received orders to move again this time to the trenches, just when we "go in" I don't know, we march back, fortunately I have a neddy to ride.
Today I received quite a number of letters 3 from Mr Stones youngsters, I had to laugh at one from the youngest, it had a big X at the end & a footnote to the effect that "that was where she had kissed it" & weak though it may seem I kissed it too.
Two or 3 others came from people from whom I had least expected any, very nice though.
My sergeant has just been in to state that orders had just come 10.30 pm for us to move tomorrow, reveille at 5 am, breakfast 6 am so tomorrow will be busy, it means cleaning up camp & moving away where we will be tomorrow night I don't know myself.
