never get them - rumours of some of the penalties imposed on some of the ancient my [indecipherable] characters.  We have had rough weather too & yours truly took quite a long while to settle down to the life on the rolling wave - there's too much roll for this chick - she's just given a good big heave.

Have you yet received my sword & the odds & ends, do not forget to mention it or rather them.  If you should not get them write to me Lieut Payne, O.C. Wireless Squadron, Engineers Depot, Moore Park & get him to give them over to Mr J Harrington the camera people in George Street, Sydney. Mr Harrington will arrange to have them forwarded.  I do hope you will get them all right. The [indecipherable] are important & cannot be replaced

We are still in the Southern Hemisphere & I can still admire the beautiful constellations - Venus last night looked charming.
