We are going into the line again, it is a spot I know for I spent there my first two or 3 weeks in France. Of course Winter is coming, last time we were in there the trees were clothed with leaves & the country looked quite pretty, its not a bad spot as there is a fair amount of cover against shell fire, you can't beat a few trenches for cover & fortunately they are scattered over the area.
There isn't much doing here just dull routine, but as I write I hear the heavy dull rumble of artillery they have been going solid since early this morning we do not know what's happening, the lines are at least 30 miles away.
With lots of love
Yours sincerely
Malcolm
