know of it makes explanations necessary and of course takes up room. Hence the long epistle and with it went my sincere hopes that she would not grow too tired before the end.
Had quite a night out up at our school Tuesday night. Kind of a Fete & Garden party. There were stalls of all kinds a concert, other entertainments of all kinds. Hundreds of people turned up. You would have wondered where they all came from. It ended up with a dance. You know the size of our little school so you can just imagine the vast amount of room there was. The dancing was rather a bumping affair & had there been a good level of lawn the dancers would have fared better getting about on it, as it was I guess some of the ladies toes are still suffering from bruises. As I'm not a dancing lady I can still get about without limping. The affair was arranged for raising money for Patriotic Needs, so a considerable sum should have been made.
James is home just now for his September holidays, Stan was to have been here too, but he was appointed Hon. Veterinary
