with excellent skill the french engineers have practically concreted it into a canal & whilst it sees very little traffic today it is an excellent bathing ground, as we moved up - a hot day - it almost resembled a watering place, hundreds & hundreds were enjoying a bathe & a swim, immediately we arrived at our destination we followed suit.
