we who are comparatively near. Lizzie as soon as she was able (she has been very poorly & even I was not strong) went to see Mrs Davies & from her learnt the sad truth. The Dr. does not seem to give much hope indeed he says they would not be surprised at whatever may happen.
I think in such cases there can be very little help given by Drs. They seem beyond human aid excepting comforting & soothing the pains of the Patients, & from little [indecipherable] from all accounts she suffers greatly, so much that she has no desire to get better.
We do sympathise greatly with them all, it is a very sad case. The Parents have done everything that could be thought of.
I wrote them yesterday, but have not heard anything further yet from [indecipherable].
