at Christmas. We had quite an enjoyable time & a glorious spread. I was allowed up for a few hrs, it felt a treat after being in Bed also I get up now at Dinner time just for a few hrs, just hobble. Yes its pretty parky over here, had a little rain yesterday.

So you spent Xmas Day in the trenches. I spent it too last year & only too true, up to the waist in Mud & Water for two Days not far from Bapaume.

Well no more news just now all are quite well in Lancs.

Will forward your Wishes on in my Next letter to my folks.
