Dear Florrie
Have not heard from you since 8th 8/18, so this is just a few lines to let you know I'm still at Brockenhurst. & on the whole having a pretty good time but would like to get my leave soon before the real winter sets in, they are so busy in the Wards now that we over in the tents havent seen a Doctor for over a week.
Who do you think I met here the other day, why Harrold Phyn, he got a bullet through the leg but it must have gone through without hitting anything vital because he is walking about now. Now I come to
