quite an hour, the officers although speaking next to no English were quite affable & we had a good old yarn, they were shelling a railway station miles into Fritzies territory, as soon as they had finished they packed up swaggs & away. The detonation of the heavy guns is tremendous, folks who like artillery are quite welcome to join it, its no good to this individual.
