My dear Florrie,

Yes I did receive your parcels every one. Auntie Mary Ellen cut the cake & pronounced it good, half I left with her the rest I took to Stroud so we all had a bit. The lollies I have just been digging into they are tip top, the Chess board is excellent & will provide for many a weary hour.

Mum, Dr Lesser  [?] & Iris were jolly kind to write it would be very pleasant for my mother to get the letters. I'm glad you received the sword, address etc., they will be quite family heirlooms.  Under separate cover I am sending my diary extending from Jan. 1st to May 4th approx 4 months.

Received quite a number of letters this morning from Australia, all my letters I am keeping for your perusal they with my gear will be left with Auntie Mary Ellen in London.  We "go over" with the least possible quantity of luggage - 40lbs being allowed. You see leaving it in London is excellent for it will enable me to get at it easily if ever I am in England again.
