give the best of his abilities to our glorious nation. However he is not dead, only living a more glorious life & the souls of heroes are never dead to this earth, they live within the younger generations. What hatred Germany is accumulating upon herself daily. It is not possible that such monsters will hold the final Victory - preference would be given to a thousand deaths before living under their heels. My brother has just been called back to sea. He is only fifteen & most people think him a real sailor he is so tall & strong.
Ma tante is quite well now & my cousin also, but he is very tired we have not seen him for a fortnight. We have no news from the little ones, though I feel sure they are having a ripping time on the shores of sunny Bretagne.
Write soon & give us news of yourself.
With kindest regards from Monsieur l'Abbé, Auntie & myself & plenty of good wishes. Believe me dear Mr. Stanley.
Yours very sincerely
Majorie Byrne
