Rode about 20 miles that day, we watered at Shellal crossing on way back & noticed the wonderful improvements that had been made since we were there last time 3 months ago.
There is a big railway bridge over the wadi, also a traffic bridge for the wet season & a big dam, with a pumping plant on the bank of the water. Also they have big stone troughs there now for watering horses & the water laid on by pipes from the dam.
At the beach we are camped only 20 yds from the waters edge & are always in swimming. The whole Divn is scattered along the beach for about 4 miles. We get water for the horses by simply digging in the sand about 18" when we get a plentiful supply of fresh water.
