during the past few days has been very windy & cold & also there has been a good deal of sickness in the Sqdn lately.
Got a train at 6 pm for Ludd & another one there at 0330 for Kantara. Ludd station is a huge place now being nearly as big in extent as Sydney station. The trip from Ludd down was a very dreary & monotonous one & we did not get into Kantara until 1750.
After travelling intermittintly since 6.30 am yesterday morning we travelled about 270 miles. Stayed at Kantara for the night & next morning early went into Moascat 25 miles further down the canal. At Moascat we went into "A". Details pending embarkation overseas.
12th
An armistice with Germany was signed yesterday, the news being received here without much demonstration or enthusiasum. We are very seriously afraid now that our trip to England will be cancelled owing to the armistice.
