Moascar has not altered much & is just as quiet as ever. There are pictures every night & boxing once a week. There are a couple of good restaurants in the Camp now, one run by the camp authorities & any amount of canteens.
Tis still fairly warm here but I don't do much swimming as the lake is not very clean now. Tis rumoured that the Squadron is coming down to Heliopolis from Haifa.
Sunday 24th
Went to Church this morning in Ismailia on the occasion of a thanksgiving service. This was the first time that I had been in the Church at Ismailia. Twas High Mass & among the congregation were a number of Marines off a French Cruiser laying in the Lake at present.
General Allenby went through this morning to Cairo to receive a public welcome. The whole camp here was lines up at the Station as his train steamed slowly through.
