Went up again in about 5 minutes time. We went up to about 8,000' & then the pilot signalled that he was going to do a stunt with me. Accordingly I gripped the rope inside the cockpit & the next thing I knew was that my heart seemed to come up into my mouth & we were falling at an awful rate, the machine twisting round & round.
I learned afterwards from the pilot that we had done a spinning nose dive for 3,500'. When we came out of the dive I was violently sick for about 5 minutes & had no interest in anything for the remainder of the flight. I felt weak & giddy on landing but a good dinner fixed me up.
April 6th
Left this morning to rejoin the battery which we found was still at Mulebis [Mulebbis] but was to move the following night for Medjel Yaba about 13 miles by road which we had only taken the day I went in on leave.
Our position is at the foot of Medjel Yaba which is a village set
