Left Aden about midnight & next morning on waking up found ourselves inside the Red Sea. Had fair breeze all the way up the Red Sea so that we did not get it as hot as is usually the case when going through this sea. Saw land on the first day but not so for the ensuing 2 days.
The Red Sea teems with fish, probably because it has never been fished to any extent & again on account of there being no market near at hand.
Due to arrive at Suez on evening of 21st September.
Got into Suez at tea time & disembarked at 6 pm. Got a good send off when we left the ship, from the passengers & crew who assembled at the rail to bid us good bye.
As we neared the land & the ship, now a blaze of light - receeded, we felt very sorry indeed at leaving.
